What we do
WET International applies the most current science
to solve your weather modification needs. We will design a new optimized cloud
seeding program, or conduct an independent evaluation of your existing
program, based on your unique needs. We can also provide seeding dispensers. Our focus is on winter seeding for snowpack augmentation. Melt from
mountain snowpack provides much of the water supply for arid regions, such as
western North America. Whether your your water needs are for hydroelectric, irrigation,
municipal/industrial, recreation, skiing, or other, WET International
can assist in meeting those needs. We consider not only these
applications but your unique meteorological, hydrologic, and
topographic situation in the design or evaluation of your weather
modification project.
Our business history
WET International was founded
recently in response to the renewed interest in cloud seeding as a
water augmentation tool. Many areas in the world are experiencing water
supply shortages and conflicts because of drought and/or increasing
demands from population growth. Pressures on water supplies are
exacerbated by often-conflicting applications such as agriculture,
municipal/industrial, recreation, endangered species protection,
hydroelectric. The great advantage of cloud seeding is that it can
generate additional water for all these applications.
About our staff
WET International consists of scientific and
business entrepreneurs with a combined experience of over 50 years in weather modification
research, meteorology, cloud physics, hydrology, radar, weather forecasting,
finance, and
program/project management. We began our involvement in the fields of
cloud physics and weather modification over 28 years ago.
What makes us unique
Our business places science at
the forefront of all our activities. All our design and evaluation is
rooted in the latest "tried and true" lessons from the weather
modification field. We rely primarily on the knowledge base from
peer-reviewed scientific publications. Our staff have multiple publications in the field and related
disciplines.
